Dr. Elizabeth Hechler (aka Dr. Liz or Dr. Lizard) grew up in Boonville, Missouri. She attended Truman State University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science. She then pursued her dental degree at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Liz earned her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry by completing the 2- year Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Iowa. She truly believes that pediatric dentistry is her calling and she loves getting to know the families and children she works with.
Dr. Liz serves children of all ages, providing comprehensive dental care, emergency treatment, treatment utilizing nitrous oxide, and treatment in the operating room under general anesthesia. The University of Iowa’s residency program has a significant emphasis on the care of individuals with special healthcare needs and Dr. Liz is particularly passionate in this area.
Dr. Liz is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Kansas Dental Association.
Dr. Liz resides in Olathe with her husband Paul, her daughters Genevieve and Josie, and their dogs Dave and Nike. She enjoys running, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
